I had Sherlock and Saxon Von Taylor for the boy. If he had been a girl we were going to call him Xena Laylah Raven Taylor, that one Mrs MTDS liked. As it is he's called Lukas though the girl didn't escape so easy and is called Lilith Freyja Scarlet.

"If you ever went to the Gosport Festival when it was on Walpole Park I probably took your ticket stub off of you."

Indeed, I did many Gosport festivals - amongst others, I saw The Blues Band, Manfred Mann, Strange Girls [Toyah and Girlschool], Roger Chapman, The 'Roots Night' (Pele, The Dhamas, The Burundi Boys), Tom Robinson, Roy Wood, Roger Taylor, Del Amitri etc

Similarly, if you ever went to the Ritz Cinema during the same time period, I probably took your ticket, and if you ever visited 'The Record Cellar' in Bemisters Lane, I probably served you!

Hi honey. Thanks for the add x

As it happens, I used to live in Portsmouth. Was in Gosport 1978 - 2004, and then Hilsea from 2004 - 2007!

Thought I'd send you a friend request So many people sign up to this site, post a couple of posts and then never bother so it's great to see you making yourself at home on here over the last few months!

It is time for my annual "semi-hibernation" (I still have to go to work, unfortunately).

THE SNOOKER is on from the Crucible!

I don't think that many films will be viewed by me (unless Peter Ebdon is playing).

Thank you for the warm welcome. Really cool that you have actually been in Norway, sometimes I feel like I live in a forgotten country at the edge of the world. But what I find really cool, is that I am actually born and raised in Bodø, hehe, furthermore I've actually lived some 10 years in Tromsø in my later years. As for now I reside in Trondheim, also a magnificent city. Do you still work in the navy?

Fwiends, Womans and countwymen...Part 5

At about this time last year I started looking for old friends on FB. I found a few of them; Michael Claxton, Mick Lee and Lesley Paget were the main ones. I suppose I had best tell all and sundry where they "fit in!...

Having just moved from Shiregreen (S5 Sheffield postal area) to Wincobank (S9 Sheffield postal area)I decided to be "arsie" and go to Shiregreen Middle School (not TOO "arsie" though because

It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been avoiding you all because I needed to "sort my head out"! To do this I have been employing many methods; CBT (some use), Mindfullness (some use), Horticultural Therapy (in a big, peaceful garden, very useful), and a few courses (including 3-d printing and rustic stool making) with a lovely couple, Rachel and Steve, known as The Company of Makers https://www.companyofmakers.com/ (have a look at the stuff that Rachel produces out of old uniforms, she's...

Before I post this to my blog I would like to point out that I am not looking for sympathy, empathy or support, I'm just trying to explain my absence from the Lab.

Since being "retired" from work I have had too much time to wallow in self pity and the past, I have gone way passed the "self pity" part but the past has caught me up!

I have been experiencing a deep depression coupled with painful memories and have been diagnosed with PTSD. I am getting

Before continuing to bore the arses off of any passing labbers who haven't got the energy to click away with my riveting tales of school life I thought I'd give you a heads up on what troggi's cave is like!

To give you a bit of a geographical perspective anyone who has travelled by train to Portsmouth has probably seen our house. I suspect that Ms. Jackson has seen it many times when either approaching Fratton Station from Portsmouth & Southsea or leaving Fratton Station going

I am going to zip through this period of the late 1960s as there were few changes until 1970.

It was '67-'68 when I became a junior schoolboy and we had a pretty new young teacher called Miss Griffiths. She was obviously too pretty because she soon became mrs. something-or-other and had to leave to have a baby but for now she was our Miss Griffiths. She took us on a trip to the City Museum at Weston Park, near the Sheffield University Arts Tower and the Henderson's Relish Factory...
