The 'Live from the Astroturf' film is being shown at the Manchester Film Festival on Saturday 14th March

"Alice Cooper reunites with the surviving members of the original lineup of the band to perform a blistering set on a small stage of pink astroturf at independent music store Good Records in Dallas, TX, 40 years after the band parted ways. Store owner Chris Penn pulls off the near insurmountable task of organizing the event and keeping Alice's appearance a secret until the original shock-rocker hits the stage."

Live from the Astroturf, Alice Cooper — Manchester Film Festival

"ALICE COOPER will be with us all weekend at London Film & Comic Con. Following on from the success of Meatloaf’s appearance we are so pleased that Mr Cooper is joining us. Alice is no stranger to the world of comic books as he first appeared in print in Marvel Premiere #50 in 1979, and later worked with Neil Gaiman on a graphic novel titled The Last Temptation.

The iconic singer songwriter will be signing and taking part in photo ops at the event which takes place at Olympia London 24-26 July. Tickets available to book here *"

* NOTE - It would appear that the tickets only allow entry to the event, and additional costs are needed for 'meet and greet' sessions:

Guest Appearance Information
  • Attending: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • Autograph Price: £65
  • Photo Shoot Price: £75
  • Diamond Pass (Autograph, Photo Shoot, Gift): £175

Are you going, Susan? Seems to good to miss with him being in your neck of the woods.

Had this been Manchester i'd be there like a shot. (Train and hotel prices and other additional costs would bulk this up somewhat for me for what is essentially a few seconds with a person.) Whilst the prices are ridiculous they are no more ridiculous than two bit actors who were once in something thirty years ago charge. It is Alice Cooper after all - an absolute legend.

It's certainly something I will look into, but at the moment we are thinking about moving (again)

We have got a house viewing in Devon tomorrow

Yes, it's expensive, but when you consider an Alice 'meet and greet' at one of his concerts is £££hundreds (if not £££thousands), it's quite reasonable
