According to early sales Alice will be getting a high chart entry with Detroit Stories.

This is likely to change as all the worthless song streaming by the pop acts kicks in over the course of the week but it's still great for Alice and Ear Music because the majority of Alice's sales will be physical sales rather than shitty free steaming.

Top 100 Albums Sunday predictions.

1 Maximo Park - Nature Always Wins (6.0k) *
2 Alice Cooper - Detroit Stories (4.5k) *
3 Architects - For Those That Wish to Exist (3.7k) *
4 Digga D - Made in the Pyrex (3.6k) *
5 Lucy Spraggan - Choices (3.4k) *

6-10
6 The White Stripes - Greatest Hits *
7 Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Way Down In The Rust Bucket (Live) *
8 PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea ^

11-20
14 Julien Baker - Little Oblivions *
18 The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker ^
19 PJ Harvey - Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea - Demos *

21-30
24 Madison Beer - Life Support *
25 Epica - Omega *

* Indicates a new entry.

Alice Cooper's last album, Paranormal, opened with 6,887 in August 2017 and peaked at #6.

£5 isn't going to generate much profit for them. Architects are doing the same thing.

Personally a signed cd at £5 from a band i have no real interest in isn't going to make me want to buy it. So presuming many others are the same they'll only be selling them to people who probably would have bought a copy anyway.

This is their 7h album, and the previous 6 have all ended up in the top #15 of the charts (3 have been top 10)!

Then it will be the same with a lot of rock bands where the fans buy it on first release, the record gets into the top 5, but two weeks later it has dropped out of the charts completely

Put yourself in the shoes of a thirteen year old - a signed CD for a fiver is a good deal, especially if its from a popular band and comes with the chance of winning a guitar

If it's such a great deal then why doesn't everyone do it?
