It would appear that Pentti 'Whitey' Glan has died, aged 71. He was a Finnish session musician, who played drums on the 'Welcome To My Nightmare' album in 1975. Following the recording, he played on the subsequent tour, and stayed with the touring band until 1979's 'Madhouse Rocks' shows, promoting the 'From The Inside' album

In happier news...

The 'Live From The Astrotuff' 7" vinyl single has won an award for the best single packaging at the 'Alex Awards'

Alice has also been nominated for induction into the 'Songwriters Hall of Fame'. Other nominees include John Mellencamp, Tracy Chapman, Jimmy Cliff, the Isley Brothers, Chrissie Hynde, Alan Jackson, Kool & the Gang, Tom Waits, Tom T. Hall and N.W.A

Exactly, I was going to buy a t-shirt at the show but I think I'll just spend the money in Fopp instead

Don't forget that the prices quoted are for mail order t-shirts. They may be slightly cheaper at the show

I've listened to Paranormal twice now and have to say it's good. Short but good.

It's a real pity Alice still comes across as a greatest hits package live as one or two here would have benefited from playing live.

Fireball is excellent. I could imagine Alice marching around singing through a megaphone and Calico on stage with a sandwich board declaring the 'end is nigh' as screens show the impending fireball on it's way to earth.

The Sound of A would also be worth a performance, maybe in place of Only Women Bleed or another slow track.

Rats is a song i could imagine being blasted out before Elected. A real Alice growler. You're all rats...please elect me!

Paranoiac Personality is a surprise especially as lead single. It's probably the poorest track on offer of the original ten on disc one.
