earMUSIC have also released 'The Ballad Of Dwight Frye' as a taster of the album

The latest leg of the 'Paranormal Evening' kicks off on August 3rd with a show at the Wisconson State Fair. Nita won't be playing at this concert (or the next one, on August 5th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota) because she will be at her sister's wedding. She will be back in the band from the August 6th gig in Kansas City. It's unknown whether Alice will be playing these two shows with only two guitarists, or whether he will be drafting someone in on a temporary basis. However, it has been noted that Orianthi is currently free at the moment...

I thought she'd be promoting and touring her own album which she released a matter of weeks ago.

It's far too poppy in my opinion. Makes Bon Jovi sound cutting edge. Pity as i was interested in getting it when it dropped in May due to Orianthi's husband, Richie Sambora.

There's some good shredding around the 2min 50 mark on this though.

Fascinating. This is a rare television report documenting the German leg of The Alice Cooper Group 'School's Out' tour in 1972. (The interview footage is in German, but subtitles are provided if you turn on the closed caption feature)

Included is very rare footage of Alice and the band backstage before the show, with Alice putting his make-up on, and candidly talking about Vincent (the person) and Alice (the character)

There is also footage from the band's show at Circus Krone in Munich on November 14th, 1972

Allegedly, according to Alice (so take it with a whole cellar of salt), there are four new albums on the horizon:
  • The Alice live in Paris album
  • A Hollywood Vampires live at Montreux album
  • The Hollywood Vampires studio album
  • A new Alice solo studio album

Rumour has it, there is also a live album from the Alice Cooper Group 'Live At The Astroturf' (presumably recorded on the 1972 'School's Out' tour) due for release as well, but I have no real evidence of that

I'd love to hear a proper Vampires album. With Alice and Joe Perry they have a couple of song writers who have written some of the songs that defined rock music.

Absolutely, although information about the new album is still pretty much unforthcoming. No title, track listing or guest musician announcements

Alice himself is due to resume the 'Paranormal Evening' tour today with a show in Wisconsin, and it's due to run all the way until the end of October so if recording hasn't been finished yet, it's gonna be a long wait!

I'd be happy to hear all 4 of those, but yes, I agree, I wish the Vampires would do an actual album!

Hopefully they were writing a bit whilst touring. I suppose there's a chance songs are already written and they just need to book studio time (Wishful thinking).

From what you posted , Susan, i'd say the Vampires live album (dvd preferred) would be an almost certainty, but Alice isn't known for his speed in getting new albums out anymore. Oh for the 70's when bands released records more or less every year.

Alice started the new leg of the 'A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper' tour yesterday, with a show at the Wisconsin State Fair Park, West Allis, Wisconsin

As far as I can gather, there were only two guitarists on stage, with no surrogates being drafted in to cover for the absent Nita

I'm all for 'not changing a winning formula' and 'giving the people what they want', but from what I am led to believe, the show was exactly the same as the first leg - guillotine, FrankenAlice, toybox and (sadly) an identical setlist:
  • Brutal Planet
  • No More Mr. Nice Guy
  • Under My Wheels
  • Billion Dollar Babies
  • Be My Lover
  • Lost in America
  • Serious
  • Fallen in Love
  • Woman of Mass Distraction
  • Poison
  • Halo of Flies
  • Feed My Frankenstein
  • Cold Ethyl
  • Only Women Bleed
  • Paranoiac Personality
  • Ballad of Dwight Fry
  • Killer
  • I Love the Dead
  • I'm Eighteen
  • School's Out/Another Brick In The Wall

Fair play to him for including some of the lesser known songs ('Brutal Planet', 'Serious', 'Halo Of Flies') but still only two songs from the latest album

I'm sure it was a great show, and the entire tour will be a success with more rave reviews, but it's too safe. Alice needs to start to inject some danger into future shows
