It's hilarious, although I am curious to play myfalrog. His rant on the hobbit movies was a hoot

A cool instrumental track from Marduk's 2001 album La Grande Danse Macabre.

Marduk - Pompa Funebris 1660

What do people think of Mayhem's Grand Declaration of War album?

It was the first Mayhem album i heard and i thought it was brilliant. Extremely experimental and so very different to anything Black metal had previously spawned. Even today it still sounds clinical and ahead of it's time.

I was surprised to hear it was being re-done. To me this new remastered and remixed version loses the sterile sound of the original and sounds slightly more typical Black metal albeit with a better drum sound.

I've actually never heard it, having followed the band from Deathcrush to De Mysteriis I was actually a little disappointed by Wolf's Lair Abyss and therefore didn't bother with any of the albums which followed! I don't know if I'm actually missing out on good songs!

I'll listen to Grand Declaration later, original mix, then I'll try the remix and see what it's like.

Ordo Ad Chao is one of the most evil sounding albums i've ever heard. Totally f*cking uncompromising!

Comes in an amazing metal sleeve over a red cd jewel case..

Its pointless remastering these albums the feel and atmosphere of the original recordings is usually lout like like when Dimmu Borgir did it with Stormblast it just ended up too clean and robotic sounding lacked any atmosphere.

Stormblast's redo just sounds like another Dimmu album.
