Have you got them all?

What are your personal faves?

Yes i have them all. Apart from the obvious Hunger A Blaze and Funeral Moon i have always loved Panzerfaust and Ravishing Grimness for that total Black Metal feel. The Cult Is Alive you can hear them transition from their Black Metal sound to what we got from F.O.A.D and Darkthrones and Black Flags its only slight but you can hear it.

Sardonic Wrath is another and maybe last of their pure Black Metal albums.

Not only an extremely underrated Darkthrone album but a criminally underrated Death Metal album very rarely talked about in the genre. Has that early Entombed Gothenburg sound.

Transylvanian Hunger for sure. After that I'd say Panzerfaust and Hate Them are worth getting too.

I love this album and the Frostland Tapes compilation with the early demos on them! Thulcandra is great stuff!

I also highly recommend this album by Fenriz and is one of my all time favourites; also on Peaceville so you can get it for cheap. I'd probably suggest listening to a couple of songs online first, there is a strong pagan folk influence that may not be up everyone's street, but songs like Thornspawn Chalice are pure Darkthrone.

Like what i've heard so far. As with so much of Darkthrone, Fenriz sounds like he's singing a different song or even on a different record completely. All part of the charm though.
