So much fun.

*Did anyone else get the red vinyl Criminally Insane 7" in a cross shaped package, on a chain?
I felt pleased helping getting this one to #1 in the UK singles charts!
Merry Christmas Messages from the boys etched onto the b-side... definitely bought this in Woolworths for 99p. (not my pic)

I also got a 7" pic disc that had a top that lifted off and the picture disc was Eddie's brain.

I just watched this clip on youtube, and yeah I know it's not 'extreme metal' but in 1989 there is no doubting that this was seen as being extreme.

Were all of us angry teenagers? (I'm not sure what I was angry about... just being 17??)

I remember going for a drive when I got my first car all of the time to chill/calm down and I used to listen to 'The Bleeding' really loud during those drives... it helped

I was only listening to this album in my car a couple of days ago. My self and my girlfriend drive around for hours to just get away and relax where we live is small so it doesn't take long to get around so we do many laps

Same, I'm not sure how well you know UK geography but I grew up in Wirral which is a peninsula between Wales and Liverpool and you can literally drive from one side to the other in around 25 mins. It'd take a few loops to even listen to the whole of a short album like The Bleeding

It amuses me how something like Cannibal Corpse can relax and calm some people yet completely horrify others I find the nostalgia comforting.

It's very comforting although not as much as black metal. I often put some black metal on to get to sleep.

Dark Funeral work a treat.

For a long time my girlfriend needed Wolves in The Throne to get her to sleep and she is not a Black Metal fan.
