Given a first listen to Behemoth's I Loved You at Your Darkest album this evening.

Darkened room, headphones, dog kicking me in it's sleep...first thought?

It's a very good....

...Moonspell album.

Sounds so much like the Portuguese band. From the music to the voice.

Fave song after a single listen.

Sabbath Mater.

The stream posted sounds nowhere near as good as the cd version.

I'm sure this will be the soundtrack to the opening of the gates of hell. F*cking awesome and terrifying at the same time.

Love the booklet to this album. The guys have their say against those that say their albums sound crap, chatter about hiking and camping plus another list of albums they recommend. Top stuff.

The third Isengard album was a little bit of a let down, since the other two were essentially compilations of various old recordings it stands to reason that whatever was left over probably wasn't as good, it's shame.

This one though is classic Fenriz :D (From Høstmørke (1995))
