In fact, if I've had a bad day at work and have a headache, I'd listen to do something like 'In The Nightside...' or 'De Mysteriis...' on the bus home and it gets me through the journey  I must admit, I tried Darkthrone once and it didn't have the desired effect

Not at all. I couldn't sleep last night so put on Gehenna's Seen through the Veils of Darkness album. I was asleep by the end of the third track.

This one (Track two) almost had me up and dancing though. It's one of my fave Black Metal songs. There are two guitar breaks, the first at 3:17, then 4:33 - i can imagine fans at a gig linking arms and dancing round a maypole or something. It's brilliant.

That Sunbomb album is out Friday and it's still over £15 on Amazon. I really want it but i'm not paying fifteen notes for a standard cd.

Haven't had Gehenna on for many years, just put this album on the speakers and having a whale of a time! It has a similar style to the older Satyricon stuff like Dark Medieval Times and The Shaowthrone which I love, the buzzing guitars but a strong folk element. Plus very epic!

As an angsty teenager in my first car, I would blow off steam by going for a country drive while listening to Cannibal Corpse - The Bleeding VERY loud. Always felt much calmer when I got home

I'm the same but not necessarily extreme music. More often than not it's just rock. The current comp cd in the car now features Corrosion of Conformity, Jesus and Mary Chain, Staind and Pitchshifter.
