Although i've had this album a while tonight was the first time i've listened to it.

On first listen it's an absolute stormer. The song posted is track 9 of 14. Most bands would open their record with a song like this not hide it away.

The artwork of Theodor Kittelsen used by Burzum on many of the albums. Morks Thomas Eriksen recently announced he has written and recorded a song inspired by a visit to the house where Theodor painted one of his famous pictures with the woman peeping at the top of the stairs.

I love these pictures they are very eerie and atmospheric. The plague or Peste is depicted in the form of the old woman.
