That looks pretty sweet. I could do with some new speakers for my system too - need to finish decorating first though!

I have a pair of Yamaha NS-6490 3 Way speakers that I upgraded by adding sandblock resistors, bass ports and foam to the interior of the cabinets. It sounds really good but the midrange is lacking which is why I'd like to upgrade soon. Here's what my current setup looks like now...

Nice! That unit you have there looks fantastic too. Great to show off some of the vinyl.

Thanks! I actually make those and decided to make myself one in between client's orders. I'm actively seeking a UK/Australia distribution deal for that and a few other media storage products that I make. It's just too expensive to ship individually.

What does your setup look like? I need to add another CD player to my system. I had one but it went kaput several months ago. I'd love to find one like this to match my amp/receiver.

My current 'sources' feeding my Cambridge amp, the bog standard Sony CD player is there cause it plays every disc I throw at it, cdr/cdrw/cd and even windows burned cda, only my vintage 20+ year old Marantz plays windows cda, most modern players show 'disc not closed' (it is) or 'no disc' so the Sony earns it's place(hooked to the mini-disc via optical acting as a DAC) sadly I jumped to digital around '97 (god, I wish I hadn't sold all my LPs, but it seemed a good idea at the time:rolleyes:)

Very nice:rockon:

It's never too late to start rebuilding your vinyl collection. You can pick up pretty decent vintage turntables relatively cheap. Plus, companies like Mondo, Death Waltz, Waxwork, One Way Static, etc. are releasing all of these wonderful soundtracks some of which have never seen a vinyl release. It's a great time to dip your foot back into the water.

A quick update, a change around as the Cambridge A/V amp easily replaces my 2 channel Cambridge amp, the Marantz vintage CD52mk2 and Denon 710 cassette deck now fit well (a big advantage of an A/V amp is the number of inputs it has) the Cambridge 540r pumps out 100w per channel in stereo or 80w per in DD or DTS 5.1, as I have a small flat I gave my mate my sub-woofer as the bass is plenty through 5 speakers, but I do feel the draw of vinyl creeping up on me so I'm on the look out for a quality T/T (a local Hi-Fi nerd is hyping a new range of Sony decks that don't break the bank)

I have a Technics 1210 which was once a pair from my former bedroom DJ days and is now a single. It's still going strong as you'd expect but Technics don't make decks anymore. I have it on good information that the Audio Technica, which is based off the design of the 1210 is a great replica, it's a bit pricey compared to the Sony's which are around £100-£150 but it's solid and will last!

Only slightly related, but... can anybody recommend an acceptable, small (portable), and affordable Bluetooth speaker to be used with a tablet?

Saw this immaculate deck in BHF for £10... good timing as my Denon deck slowed to crawl, chewed up a tape and had puffs of smoke wafting up, in the recycling bin it went in April:lol::lol:, this RS AZ6 Technics will do fine.
