When I was younger everyone was crazy for Hawkwnid, didn't see it myself... then at a party (oh so long ago) someone put on Silver Machine, Holy S@%t what a great rock song, a few years after that Lemmy and the boys of Motorhead were on TOTP with Ace Of Spades, the thing is he had the perfect Rock n' Roll voice and truly lived the life, so I guess as so many in his position check out way too young 70 is a pretty good innings, nobody is indestructible after all.

But the world is a little less fun as of this morning... R.I.P. Lemmy.

Which just goes to show that a new generation of fans had latched on to Motorhead, there was many a year left in this mighty band.

Pure, basic Rock And Roll, amped up to 10!

Only Motorhead and The Ramones could do it properly

Oh man. This is sad, sad news.

I always remember lying in front of the tv, watching Top Of The Pops when Motorhed and Girlschool came on. Brilliant. When we went to school the next day we were all talking about it. I played the EP over and over.

R.I.P mate.

JD & Coke for me tonight. I was staying off the booze until New Years Eve but in light of this and as a tribute to Lemmy who was so much part of my youth I feel it is right for me to get pissed tonight.
