Love the WB logo on the Joy Division video.

How Indie can you get?

I do remember your opening statement on the thread Inspector, still it amuses me though.

Sonet
A Scandinavian label, founded in the mid-1950's. In addition to Scandinavia, the label had a local branch in the UK. The label was acquired by PolyGram in the early 1990's, and when Seagram bought PolyGram and merged it with MCA family of labels to form Universal Music Group, Sonet became the property of Universal.

A quick Q for the Inspector.

Do you know of any Indie compilations that you can recommend featuring the best - singles - of the late 80's / 90's bands - Soup Dragons, Primal Scream, James, Saint Etienne - that sort of thing?

There is certainly plenty of 80's Indie comp, best being by Ministry Of Sound, plus some of the cheaper Tesco ones, but very little that includes the early 90's as far as I can see,but ill keep an EYE open for one.
