1985 - 2017 = 32 years

Hawkwind have only released 15 albums in 32 years?

Back in the day, there would have been that many new Hawkwind albums in a single year!!!

But I thought the whole idea of this thread was to list your 10 favourite tracks from an artist or band. That is what I have done. Truth be told, I don't think that anything from 'Electric Tepee' or 'Xenon Codex' or 'Space Bandits' etc is a patch on the early releases

It is, but surely lists are there to be discussed and questioned, even mocked (hi Inspector) or are they just that, lists?

15 albums in 32 years is decent going. Pretty much an album every 2 years.

In that same 32 year period -

Maiden - 11 studio albums
Metallica - 8 studio albums
Alice Cooper - 12 studio albums including the forthcoming Paranormal

And finally, in fact a good comparison - Motorhead - 16 studio albums.

But yes, it also tickles me when you think some 70's bands released an album every year.

Some great songs listed by the way. I don't have a single Hawkwind album anymore. I used to have the early stuff . Asda used to sell the Fame / EMI re-releases when i was a kid. As they were affordable they helped start me off on my record buying rock and roll journey.
