The two CD and triple LP formats come as hardback books, featuring a previously unheard concert from the ‘Ace Up Your Sleeve’ tour, the story of the album and a series of previously unseen photos.

Costing £250, keen Motörhead aficionados (with deeper pockets) will be keen to buy the super deluxe box set featuring 42 unreleased tracks and a veritable smorgasbord of Motörhead treasures. There’s also a deluxe box set that retails at £150."

The ‘Ace of Spades’ 40th anniversary reissue is available to pre-order from Motörhead’s official website now. There are also a variety of merchandise bundles, including an ‘Ace of Spades’ face mask.

Containing the timeless title track, ‘Ace of Spades’ was originally released in November 1980 and thanks to blistering tracks like ‘The Chase Is Better Than the Catch’, ‘(We Are) The Road Crew’ and ‘Love Me Like a Reptile’, the album is rightfully heralded as a highly influential hard rock classic.

This landmark album saw the three amigos of Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor join forces with esteemed producer Vic "Chairman" Maile (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who) to create audio dynamite.

Thin Lizzy Unearth 74 Unreleased Tracks for ‘Rock Legends’ Box Set / Rolling Stone

"Thin Lizzy will pack 74 previous unreleased tracks into a new box set, Rock Legends, set to arrive October 23rd via UMC.

The six-CD/one-DVD collection, which is available to preorder [£98.99], spans the band’s whole career and comprises a mix of demos, radio sessions, live recordings and rare single edits. The set is based around a collection of newly discovered tapes, and the tracklist was compiled by Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham and band expert Nick Sharp.

The first disc of the Rock Legends set will boast the single edits for an array of Thin Lizzy tracks, a handful of which had not previously been available on CD or streaming. Disc two will boast a mix of unreleased tracks from the band’s early days on Decca Records, including recordings from two RTE Radio Eireann sessions that took place in 1973 in and 1974.

Discs three through five comprise previously unreleased demos from Thin Lizzy’s days on Vertigo, where they’d release some of their most famous albums, including Jailbreak, Bad Reputation and Black Rose (Vertigo was later folded into Mercury Records, and these discs are classified under the latter label’s name). Disc six, meanwhile, boasts a smattering of unreleased live recordings from Thin Lizzy’s 1980 Chinatown tour.

The Rock Legends DVD will feature Thin Lizzy’s performance on Rod Stewart’s 1976 TV special, A Night on the Town. It will also include Linda Brusasco’s 60-minute documentary Bad Reputation, which first aired on BBC4 in September 2015 and, until now, had not been commercially available.

Along with all the music, the Rock Legends set will come with a hard-backed book featuring replicas of Thin Lizzy’s tour programs. Phil Lynott’s poetry books and four prints by Thin Lizzy cover artist Jim Fitzpatrick will also be included. Another book will contain quotes from the members of Thin Lizzy about their time in the band alongside testimonials from famous fans including Slash, Lemmy, Joe Elliott, James Hetfield, Henry Rollins, Billy Corgan, Craig Finn and John McEnroe."

Iron Maiden announce 40th anniversary vinyl reissue of debut album 'Iron Maiden' / Planet Rock

"Iron Maiden’s eponymous debut album ‘Iron Maiden’ is being re-released on vinyl this autumn to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Originally released on 14th April 1980, ‘Iron Maiden’ will be available to buy on limited-edition crystal clear picture disc vinyl on Friday 9th October 2020 via Parlophone Records.

As well as marking the 40th anniversary of ‘Iron Maiden’, the release honours 2020’s National Album Day on Saturday 10th October – a celebration of the long-player in association with the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA).

You can pre-order ‘Iron Maiden’ on vinyl from Amazon UK [£22.99] now.

‘Iron Maiden’ features the band’s early vocalist Paul Di’Anno (who also performed on 1981’s ‘Killers’) and it’s the only Maiden record to feature guitarist Dennis Stratton who exited in October 1980.

Songs including ‘Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘Running Free’ and ‘Iron Maiden’ are still considered classics by Maiden fans to this very day.

‘Iron Maiden’ was the album that saw the East London band start the journey that has led them over the course of four decades, sixteen studio albums, over 90 million album sales and more than 2000 concerts around the globe, to become the biggest and most acclaimed metal band on the planet."

The ‘Iron Maiden’ track-listing is as follows:

Side One
  • Prowler
  • Remember Tomorrow
  • Running Free
  • Phantom Of The Opera

Side Two
  • Transylvania
  • Strange World
  • Charlotte The Harlot
  • Iron Maiden

After a 30+ year wait, it looks like the Ghostbusters 2 score is finally getting released! / Ghostbusters News

"Ghostbusters fans, rejoice! It appears that we’ll soon be able to get our hands on the long awaited Ghostbusters 2 score by composer Randy Edelman.

Edelman’s official website posted the below update, hyping a 2021 release:
At long last, Sony Masterworks will be releasing the much requested orchestral score of Randy Edelman’s for “Ghostbusters 2.” The composer will be directly involved in the package.
This will mark the very first time the Ghostbusters 2 score has been made available for purchase. Up until now, fans looking to listen to the score have had to rely on audio extracted from the film, usually containing dialogue and sound effects"

Tangerine Dream to Release ‘The Keep’ Score in Early Eighties Box Set / Rolling Stone

10-CD set Pilots of Purple Twilight: The Virgin Recordings 1980 – 1983 also features remastered studio albums, live LPs, unreleased tracks, soundtrack contributions and more

"Tangerine Dream will finally officially release their score for the 1983 film The Keep as part of a 10-CD box set collecting the electronic music group’s early Eighties releases.

Pilots of Purple Twilight: The Virgin Recordings 1980 – 1983 collects five Tangerine Dream albums — Tangram, Exit, White Eagle, Logos Live and Hyperbore — plus a pair of beloved soundtracks the group made for Michael Mann’s films Thief and The Keep; the latter score, although oft-bootlegged, has never been officially been released, making it a “holy grail” among fans of Tangerine Dream.

Each of the albums has been remastered from the original tapes and enhanced by new stereo mixes. Pilots of Purple Twilight will also boast four discs of unreleased music and other rarities, including a full November 1982 concert from London’s Dominion Theatre, the band’s score for The Soldier and their Risky Business soundtrack contributions (including “Love on a Real Train“), and the extended version of Thief’s “Dr. Destructo,” previously only heard in promotional materials for that 1981 film.

The 10-CD box set version, out October 30th and available to preorder now, also comes with a hard-back book with a new essay along with rare photographs and memorabilia. The albums themselves will also be available individually as well as digitally.

Pilots of Purple Twilight follows the 2019 release of Tangerine Dream’s similarly massive retrospective In Search of Hades: The Virgin Recordings 1973 – 1979"
