Release date: April 15

"Suzi Quatro is a legend and icon of feminism in what was a male dominated genre at the time in the 1970s. Over the course of her 50-year career, she has sold over 50 million records worldwide.

Bursting onto the rock scene in 1973 with the UK number one hit ‘Can The Can’, she continued with a long string of hits singles including, 48 Crash, Daytona Demon, Devil Gate Drive, The Wild One, and If You Can’t Give Me Love, to name a few.

She has inspired so many female artists ranging from Joan Jett, Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club), Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), The GoGos and continues to inspire today with the likes of KT Tunstall. She has also had an active acting career in the 1970s comedy ‘Happy Days’ where she played the part of Leather Tuscadero, on stage in ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ to presenting TV and radio programs for the BBC and was inducted into the Michigan Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

This 8 disc spined wallet set includes her 6 studio albums, all her singles and B-sides, and a live album, covering 1973 to 1979, along with a DVD featuring select promo clips, Top Of The Pops performances and a concert from Japan in 1975.

Housed in a 2 part rigid box, it includes a 56 page booklet with exclusive personal recollections from both Suzi and guitarist Len Tuckey as well as a biography written by The Guardian’s Dave Simpson"

Great to hear new Megadeth. Good song with fine clinical classic Deth guitars. Yet another thrash band (Kreator, Testament, Overkill, Destruction) making albums as good as ever.

Toyah's seminal 1981 album 'Anthem' is being re-released by Cherry Red records on September 9th

Pre-order available from Cherry Red direct for 2xCD, 1xDVD version - £14:99 [+ Standard shipping - £2.30 / Money taken upfront]

**LIMITED EDITION SIGNED POSTCARDS AVAILABLE WITH PRE-ORDERS WHILE STOCKS LAST!*

Newly remastered release of Toyah’s 1981 Gold-selling album ‘Anthem’.

• Remastered by Nick Watson from the original master tapes and approved by Joel Bogen.

• With a brand-new introduction by Toyah Willcox in the 24-page booklet which contains stunning classic and rare images plus previously unseen out-takes from photo shoots.

• Compiled by Craig Astley, Toyah’s official archivist, who also provides new sleevenotes, the expanded 2CD+DVD release presents the full album complemented by 25 bonus tracks. Among these is the standalone hit single ‘Thunder In The Mountains’.

"Produced by Nick Tauber, with arrangements by the band and Toyah, the album features a line- up that saw Willcox and Joel Bogen joined by Nigel Glockler, Phil Spalding and Adrian Lee.

The bonus material includes a six-song live session recorded on 1 April, 1981 at BBC’s Paris Theatre in London which is released commercially for the first time ever plus ‘Thunder In The Mountains’, the third Top Ten single of 1981 by the ‘Anthem’ Toyah line-up along with a previously unreleased unfaded version of the flexi-disc track ‘For You’.

The accompanying DVD (NTSC/Region Free) presents a fascinating new in-depth interview feature with Toyah about the creation of the album plus a track-by-track commentary and exclusive renditions of three ‘Anthem’ songs, plus for the first time ever classic footage of Toyah’s 1981 BBC performances of ‘It’s A Mystery’, ‘I Want To Be Free’ and ‘Thunder In The Mountains’ and four different appearances on the legendary Top Of The Pops alongside performances originally broadcast on Something Else, Cheggers Plays Pop and Multi-Coloured Swap Shop plus the classic promo videos for ‘I Want To Be Free’ and ‘Thunder In The Mountains’, both directed by Godley & Creme.

‘Anthem’ was a big commercial success, reaching number two in the UK Top 40 album chart in May 1981. It spent 46 weeks on the album chart and was awarded a Gold album sales certification. The album followed two Top Ten hit singles, ‘It’s A Mystery’ (#4) and ‘I Want To Be Free’ (#8) both of which feature. The album also includes the anthemic ‘We Are’ and the atmospheric ‘Jungles Of Jupiter’, both classics that have remained in Toyah’s live set to this today. Toyah will embark on a 40th Anniversary Anthem tour beginning September 2022 to coincide with this special re-issue."
