This is a hard choice for yours truly seeing as most of my music materialism is made up of singles collections, greatest hits and very best of compilations. But here goes. I'm not even sure if this is a definitive list and it may be subject to change sooner or later:

The Cult - Love

Aerosmith - Get A Grip

Depeche Mode - Violator

Kim Wilde - Another Step

Faith No More - Angel Dust

Killing Joke - Pandemonium

The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead

Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret

Depeche Mode - Songs Of Faith And Devotion

and Manic Street Preachers - This Is My Truth, Tell Me Yours.

I listen to a lot of different stuff and my all-time favourites list come down to the albums that I have been into for a length of time and always go back to, that I can play to death and never tire of and that I reach for in my lowest moments.

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Solstafir - Kold
Type O Negative - World Coming Down
REM - Automatic For The People
Anathema - The Silent Enigma
Fields Of The Nephilim - Dawnrazor
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Shining - V Halmstad
Christian Death - Only Theatre Of Pain
Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals

My current list of favourites would be totally different, and having to think about my top 20 of 2011 which I'll post later in the year

Been pondering this list for ages now and have thought about it seriously as to what a top ten album actually is and means to me.

I've looked at every one of my 3258 cd albums and have narrowed it down to 163 possibilities.

No idea how to come up with ten from that amount, so i sorted them into decades and will be doing a top ten from the seventies, eighties, nineties and finally the noughts.

That's a lot of CDs!

Good idea in sorting them into decades, although for a moment I was expecting a Top 163!

Thats a heck of a lot of typing.

I would think by about no 70, titles like Black Sabbath - We sold our Souls for Rock n' Roll* would get re-evaluated and very quickly become REM -Up.

* not in the list of 163 but you get my drift.
