Yeah, I like anything and everything in music really, can't say I've listened to much ABBA though, not knocking them but just never taken the time to listen to their music. Is anyone here a fan of Captain Beefheart? |

Awesome band, Darklands is an amazing album. I prefer it to Psychocandy tbh, although Psychocandy is still great.

From the music already mentioned...I like a bit of Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa. Elliott Smits album either/or is great! I'm also a big fan of Siouxsie and the Banshees!! I'll pass on Abba (). As for Maiden, I'd have to go against the grain and say that Blaze Bailey is my preferred singer, voice wise, but I guess Dickinson and DiAnno have the better songs. And went to see Love 3times before Arthur Lee sadly passed away, great gigs, Forever Changes is a masterpiece!. I'm mainly into singer/songwriters but do like a lot of bands, some of my favourites include: Bruce Springsteen Neil Young Joni Mitchell Bjork Damien Jurado Suzanne Vega Grace Jones Tom Waits (his early stuff, not his crazy experimental stuff) Laura Veirs Josh Rouse Kathleen Edwards The Levellers New Model Army Also listen to a lot of hard bop jazz eg, Coltrane, Shorter, Morgan, Byrd, Mingus. Also some smoother stuff like Brubeck and Baker. As for electronica, I love Susumu Yokota and Autechre. Oh and I like nothing better than grooving to the 80s tunes in Reflex to kickstart a night out Speaking of 80s, has anyone heard Eddie Murphy's albums 'So Happy' and 'How Could It Be'? Pure 80s cheesy brilliance akin to the legend that is Lionel Richie haha (Available free on Spotify)

I could never compile a top ten so ten random ones... 1. Current 93. Soft Black Stars. 2. Merzbow. Frog. 3. Oacis (a collection of minimal electronics from the Raster Norton label.) 4. The Dead Kenedies. In God We Trust. 5. Leonerd Cohen. I'm Your Man. 6. Throbbing Gristle. The Second Anual Report (or possibly the 24 box set but, obviously, not in one sitting.) 7. Spiritualized. Songs in A&E 8. 1888 (Current 93/ Death In June split album.) 9. Good God! A Gospel Hymnal (a collection of Gospel Funk - no really - on the Numero Label.) 10. Andrew Chalk/ Daisuke Suzuki. In flaxfeet clouds uplifted/ autumn gave passage to kind nature. But the list will change tomorrow.
