Love a bit of Basement Jax though.
Give it a chance, Dem. I'm not saying its ground breaking, or anything like that. I think what it is, is Cheryl's voice combined with that childlike, but catchy melody equals song stuck in my head.

Still one of the weirdest music videos I've ever seen.

It reminded me of Chevy Chase dreaming of his pool in Christmas Vacation. I hate that song too.

Got to be one of my favourite albums ever. A bit bonkers, a bit AC/DC, a bit Edith Piaf, all theatre. Brought to you by the same person responsible for 'Show Me Heaven'!

I saw Maria Mckee a few years ago at Manchester Academy3. A fantastic gig. I've only got two albums by her though. - Peddling Dreams and High Dive.

Saw her on the Life is Sweet tour. Went with my brother who is a hardcore metal-head and he came out a fan. She's got a set of pipes on her. I highly recommend Life is Sweet as you already have High Dive. If you fancy her earlier country style check out her first band Lone Justice and her first two solo albums - the first self-titled and the other You Gotta Sin to get Saved. Great stuff.

Scouse emotion.
It always surprises how much this band has grown since 1991

The riffage in Emperor was always tricksy and complex but Ihsahn's solo artist stuff leaves it in the dust, prog metal in the Dream Theater vein.
