Smash for sure as far as I'm concerned, they were still pretty serious at this point and started to do more comedic songs on Ixnay and beyond. That album has still got some excellent songs on it, but Ignition and Smash they were at their pinnacle.

I agree about the tonal shift and like the humour on Ixnay. As pure punk, rather than pop punk, goes, Ignition and Smash are the best two albums.

I loved The Offspring when Smash came out but strangely didn't buy Ixnay on the Hombre, but did get Americana, Conspiracy of One and Splinter.

I don't really listen to pop punk like them, Green Day or Blink 182 anymore. It sounds quite dated.

Weirdly i would like to hear Blink's latest chart topping album though to see if they've changed...but i always forget to search songs out.

That new Green Day song i posted last week from the forthcoming album just sounded like Green Day.
