Had it a while and listened the hell out of it when i had health problems last year as it helped me to stay all calm, like. The Diary by The Gentle Storm, a concept/symphonic metal album by Arjen Lucassen and Anneke van Giersbergen.

It's a story based on some letters unearthed about a bloke at sea writing letters to his wife back home. Anyway, it's 2 discs with the same tracks on each, except 1 album is symphonic with a full orchestra and the other is the 'metal' version.

I prefer the symphonic version to be honest as the metal version isn't very metal. It's a nice idea though with some good tracks.

Here's the metal version of Shores of India.

On the 26th September, 1981, former lead singer with Samson Bruce Bruce reverted to his given name of Bruce Dickinson, and joined Iron Maiden

In addition to his work with Samson and Maiden, Dickinson has also had a successful solo career, sang with Mr. Bean on a version of Alice Cooper's 'Elected', been the author of the Lord Iffy Boatrace books, is a qualified pilot, presented a rock music radio show on BBC Radio 6, hosted a television show about the history of aviation, competed internationally as a fencer (and was rated 7th in Great Britain) and helped to formulate the recipe for 'Trooper' beer

Don't think I have missed anything out, Mr. Dike!!

Bruce doesn't, but Iron Maiden do!

Does anyone else think Metallica seem to have turned the clock back 30 years, or is it just me?

Perhaps.

I have to admit that the two songs i've heard so far are music to my ears.

Really looking forward to the new album.

Shame Maiden can't turn the clock back 30 years.

These new songs should be really good live,

Love Kirk's Ouija board guitar.
