Anyway, the band Kittie was mentioned and even though they’ve been around over 20 years, I’ve never heard of them before but I’m loving what I’ve heard so far. It’s hard to put a label on them, because their music has bits of Nu Metal, Death Metal and 90’s Alternative, I’m hearing early Nirvana, Slipknot, Korn, Roots era Sepultura, Soulfly and Godsmack, so all bands I admire
Anyway, I’m sure a few of our resident metallers will already be aware of them
I've never owned a Kittie album but when their debut Spit came out i was umming and arring about buying it or the Drain South album Freak of Nature whilst in HMV. I went with the Drain South album because Tony Iommi produced it and his wife is the singer.

I'm going to dig it out now because listening to this song again and it still rocks.

Excuse me, I don't think there's anything wrong with the action on this piano...

Amazing band from the thriving Japanese garage punk scene.

The Exbats, my new favourite band, a father and daughter duo playing guitar and drums and making some great leftfield garage pop.

The #1 single on February 22nd, 1975

In 1974, the band Cockney Rebel disbanded, and Harley formed a new act: Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. Singer Steve Harley said the lyrics were vindictively directed at the former band members, whom he felt had abandoned him: "It's a finger-pointing piece of vengeful poetry. It's getting off my chest how I felt about the guys splitting up a perfectly workable machine. I wrote it saying 'Look, you'll learn how well we're doing here, we're doing well, why are you doing this?'""

I'd disowned this before i'd even heard it. The idea of re-doing The Crimson Idol just sounded shit.

However i freely admit i was wrong and do like the sound of this new version. Even if Blackie's changed the lyrics to suit his now religious beliefs.
I've not heard Chainsaw Charlie for years! I quite like this version as well, but I'm not sure I understand the point of re-recording a classic album 20-25 years later?!?
