They also changed the artwork for No Prayer for the Dying too

In that case the new version is better, but it’s not really as different as the debut, it’s like they were both options during the original design session.

Same as Dem pointed out before, the original artwork is used on the disc.

Yeah it is on the disc. I don’t know why they changed the debut album, but I know they changed No Prayer because Rod Smallwallet didn’t like the was the gravedigger looked.
Thank god they didn’t change some of the others like Somewhere in Time or Powerslave!

They all look good together on the shelf with the Eddie spines, Megadeth did the same for their remastered CDs having the Rust in Peace Vic Rattlehead as a spinebuilder, I don’t own all those though

Whoever took the photo has their CDs the wrong way around, the spine builder should start with Iron Maiden on the right and end with A Real Live One on the left!

I never even noticed that, I just grabbed the first pic I found, this is how they should look

Do you know whats really dumb about the Maiden spine?

In album release order the spine is all over the place. Here's my collection.
