Mine would be either The Golden Age of Grotesque or Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death).

Probably the former due to Tim Skold being in the band.

Good arguments both, but I just love the overall composition of Portrait. It's just so grimy and fetid. It was also the first MM album I ever bought and was my first exposure to the man, so that also may have something to do with it.

I actually don't own it anymore and this conversation has actually prompted me to order it again (brand new from Music Magpie for £4.92 delivered if anyone else is tempted!).

Do you enjoy the Smells Like Children remix album? It's occasionally uncomfortable to listen to but I really like it.

A weird album for sure, but yes it was another I enjoyed despite some bizarre 'filler'.

Diary of a Dope Fiend
, Kiddie Grinder and Sweet Dreams were definitely the main highlights from memory.
