Godsmack - Something Different

1000hp (2014)

Been listening to this band for the last hour. I love their newer material. It's hook laden hard rock with killer chorus's. I'd dismissed them in the past as Nu-metal wannabe's.

Anyway, i've learned my lesson and ordered the When Legends Rise album from Amazon as i think the tracks i've heard will be perfect summer listening.

Listening to the soundtrack album while I do my work! One of the benefits of working from home is the peace and quiet and being able to chill to some good tunes. It's surprising how much more productive you can be!

Back in the mid-90's when Satyr run his own record label (Moonfog) and everything sold well because we bought up everything that came from a Norwegian record label it was a case of anything goes and a lot of experimental stuff was coing out like the Wongraven (instrumental) album and the Storm (Nordic (patriotic??) folk-ish) album.

I listen to this album all of the time, probably had it on no less than 3 times in the past week already!

PS - If anyone know where I can get the Storm album from I'd love to buy a copy!

You'll think I'm mad, but the guitar riff and the vocal delivery on the verse totally reminds me of Sepultura during their 'Arise' era
