I struggle to listen to Murmur, but from from Reckoning onwards I've loved every R.E.M. album. Fables of the Reconstruction and Out of Time being my favs. I got to see them for free on the Monster tour at Huddersfield Stadium because one of my friends' cousins had a spare ticket and no-one else they knew had even heard of the band, so I went with 2 other teenagers I'd never even met before.

I was there too.

Went with my girlfriend at the time and Everybody Hurts was one of the most romantic beautiful moments i've ever experienced.

Terrorvision and The Beautiful South were good support acts too.

I was there the day before! I would have loved to have seen Terrorvision, we had Beautiful South as the main support, it was supposed to be Oasis but they pulled out last minute, then it was Belly and Magnapop. All 4 bands on the bill were great.

I remember saying how it would be unlikely if R.E.M. could be as good as Terrorvision as they were excellent, of course R.E.M. just brushed Terrorvision to one side the minute they hit the stage.

I really liked The Beautiful South. I was surprised as i'm not a fan but really enjoyed them live.
