Just read that Beautiful South mainman Paul Heaton donated a large sum so the staff of the now defunct Q magazine could be paid wages one last time. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54485919 It's similar to what Orange Goblin did for the staff of Metal Hammer and Classic Rock which was soon added to by other metal and hard rock artists as they waited in hope for a possible takeover of the magazines which did quickly happen. I'm not sure Q has the same loyal following anymore, however i hope i'm wrong, but it was a lovely gesture from Heaton no matter what happens next.
