Thankfully it's Friday! Here's some Nightwish from arguably their best album

My wife is at work today but I managed to have a great afternoon anyway. Watched AC/DC Live at River Plate on blu-ray and had an absolute blast. So much fun, easily the best of the Brian Johnson era blu-rays. That Argentina crowd was amazing, totally into it! Surround sound was great too (although I'm not sure that the cat appreciated it from his under the sideboard position). This and the Bon Scott Let There Be Rock blu-ray should be an essential purchase for any AC/DC fan. Really enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

Mötley Crüe - Tonight (We Need A Lover)

Theatre of Pain (1985)

A seriously underrated song!

I don't know if this is genuine or not, but I asked one of my chums (who is a university graduated acoustics professor) and apparently '90,000 screaming watts' actually equals an ear-splitting 49.5 dB!

40 dB = Library, bird calls (44 dB); lowest limit of urban ambient sound
50 dB = Quiet suburb, conversation at home. Large electrical transformers at 100 feet.

Can't help thinking that either Jamie is wrong, or Motley Crue are wrong!

The album is quite underrated as a whole, I think it's my least played of the 80s Crue albums but it's actually pretty good!

Found this Oh! Brother (podcast) featuring siblings Paul and Steve Hanley who were the rhythm section for The Fall for a long time.

Guess what it's about then?

The first episode mainly concerns themselves and their life before joining ein gruppe ... the rest of the guests all will have a tale to tell certainly
This should keep me occupied for a few nights.
