I'm currently listening to the The Doors' six albums, something I've done several times over the past few weeks.

Taake / Noregs Vaapen

In their newest album Noregs Vaapen there is a banjo solo in one of the song. Im sure thats a first for Black Metal but really it sounds great bit of a shock when it hit me.

I haven't heard it, but I'm into Teenage Jesus and various of her solo attempts. I like that harsh first wave of no-wave... DNA... The Contortions... best of all, Mars - I find them very creepy, and quite pre-noise.

8 Eyed Spy is more of an interesting listen than the balls out garage punk meets No Wave that I had hoped for, Lunch's vocals kill any power that the music occasionally musters. That said most No Wave leaves me a little cold, so I don't really know what I was expecting.

Which bands are on the American Hardcore lp and is it connected to the book that came out a few years ago?
