Just got the CD / DVD Nine Below Zero Live At The Marquee (1980) . Fantastic live album . British RnB at its best.

Excellent choice, Wes - hadn't heard that before. Now, I must indulge my utter narcissism for a few moments...

OK - LIVE! EXCLUSIVE!
For all you folks out there who are desperate to hear the voice of Frankie Teardrop (I know there are thousands of you), you can check me out via the link below which is comin' atcha live from the Sao PAulo Biennale...
My bits were pre-recorded - of course I'm still stuck in miserable Leeds. It's not strictly my gig, but I contributed quite a few vocals for the guys out there to mess around with. I think this week is the one where we did a really abortive 'Sister Ray' cover with me reading out a local newpaper from Barrow-in Furness and screaming about being tasered by the fuzz...
It's a sound art piece with (ehm) 'musical interludes' and runs from 1500 - 1600 today (same time tomorrow).

I'm listening to it now and it's great... love the different flavour of voices and the freak folk loop...

It'll go up as an MP3 at some point, so I'll let you know if you want to hear me do cringe-inducing versions of Patti Smith's 'Horses' and The Byrds 'Chestnut Mare'.
