I saw them in the student union at Northumbria University and they were brilliant. We left during Jump on Demand because the place was so packed I think I would have been crushed or tipped over if I'd waited until the end of the song!

Patti Smith is a natural phenomenon. She's full of energy. I really disagree when people call Deep Purple 'Heavy Metal Pioneers'... they're a brilliant Hard Rock band. That's it. However, Patti's definitely the "Godmother of Punk"!

I'm generally listening to these things when the air has cooled with either a beer or glass of wine in the garden, so its a similar situation to you in a way.
