I love me some Hip Hop! I was hoping there would be some other Hip Hop listeners on here. A few years ago I started the Punk and Hardcore music thread and a few users frequent that so I was thinking about a Hip Hop thread. If there aren't too many Hip Hop fans here I won't bother.

I'll look out for them! Just bought MM 2 the other day, not listened to it yet.

As I said, I like a lot of Hip-Hop, but not modern day R&B (such as Beyoncé and Rihanna etc. ) . R&B for me is James Brown, Barry White etc. THAT I love!

I have a very wide range taste in music, which I've talked about quite a lot. Everything from 60' and 70's rock, punk and Black Metal. The list is endless.

Recently been introduced to a band called TesseracT and have listened to their album Altered State. Ummmm I think I'm in love. This album is a masterpiece of Prog Metal. The drummer is out of this world. Lucky for me I checked to see when they were next playing live and got myself a ticket to see them at Concorde 2 in Brighton, I'm literally giddy with excitement.
I'll end up just standing in the middle of the crowd with my eyes closed to just immerse myself in their sound, can not wait!

Yeah I don't enjoy the new modern radio hip hop/pop. Like you said Beyoncé and Rihanna (although Rihanna features on a really good track on MMLPII) those artists are pretty annoying. Oh god I hate Kanye West, That guy is f###ing talentless and self obsessed.

I also am a fan of lots of different types of music though. I love my Hip Hop but I also love my Punk and Metal. I even listen to Johnny Cash and other artists of random genre's.
