Today been listening to more 'Jesus and Mary Chain' as I picked up all 5 of their albums in one box set whilst away. Just about to get stuck into the new Autechre album.

Don't like the American "pop-punk" scene at all with bands like green day, offspring, blink 182 etc,

try looking up UK BANDS like
douglas
chopper
broccoli
hooton 3 car
southport
milloy
billy no mates

etc

All very overlooked overhere because of thier US cousins

Her New Haven live concert is absolutely phenomenal on video. The DVD alas suffers from a particularly bad audio mix.
