Been listening to a lot of Dio & Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell whilst I've been animating lately. Ronnie James Dio will truely be missed!

Here is some video footage I took of Heaven & Hell at Sonisphere last year. The video also includes footage of the mighty Saxon!

Talking of Venom I've just watched for the first time on DVD (as always had the VHS) 7th Date of Hell at Hammersmith in 84 now that brings back memories! Always a shame the editing never shows Abbaddon trashing the drum kit at the end which was what I was watching! it only shows how pissed off his drum tech is with him.

Shame Conrad was not able to include the missing 30 mins of the concert as he was considering this :-(

At least we actually have it at long last on DVD and it now sits next to their concert the following year Live in London that I also went to and this DVD I had to import from Australia - this also is only 59 mins and not the full concert either... :-(

Still at least they are available on DVD unlike In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up

I remember someone bringing Venom 7th Date of Hell in for Music class show and tell in 1984. Didn't stay on for long - even Queen got banned during our Music classes ( a really poor teacher ).

I've been listening to Joe Satriani's 'Is there Love in Space' - if you haven't checked him out, the title track or 'Bamboo' are both well worth a listen. The fella's got magic in his fingers and such a genuinely nice chap to boot.

Listening to Band of Horses in prep for their Glasgow gig on 27th January.

Just bought An Introduction to Elliott Smith, one of my all time favourite singers and the man I named my son after! My wife bought me a signed Elliott Smith 7" for my Crimbo, was well chuffed!!!!
