Anyway yep that sounds about right except for the clapping stuff.
I would recommend the album to you but it depends on your tolerance for 70's style music, it also helps if you grew up with it.
The album is not just music, it has narration by Richard Burton and tells a version of the story. I love it. It's got some really nice atmospheric music for the aliens too.
If this sounds like something you can handle i'd say check it out, just make sure its the original version.

Yep, thanks dude... no I've been meaning to check this out for ages, and I love Richard Burton (and the Orson Welles Mercury Theatre production)

Oh, the Stars on 45 ? Yeah, there were a good few of them issued in early 80's and it was part of the records lying around at home. Pure nostalgia shot in the arm when I hear it...
