Wow, DemDike . . . have you been raiding my collection? We have very similar tastes in hard rock/metal. I have listened to that White Stripes album, WAKING THE DEAD, MAFIA, AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, and TOO FAST FOR LOVE at some point during the last week myself.

Very cool . . . and maybe a little creepy.

God, yes -- such an underrated band. My favorites from that era were always the ones that leaned toward the sleazier side. The Guns were -- and still are -- a very talented band that didn't get enough credit for their songwriting (I wasn't too crazy about their last one, but have you heard TALES FROM THE STRIP? I think it ranks among their very best). I saw them in a club a couple years ago, and although it's sad that Traci, Phil, and Steve can't patch things up and go on tour together as the real deal, their current lead guitarist made me forget about Traci for a while. Dude was a freakin' shredder.

I don't have too many of theirs actually. Just the superb debut, Cocked and Loaded, Hollywood Vampires, Vicious Circle and Waking the Dead.

They seem to have so many bootleg style live albums and compilations knocking about.

You should definitely check out TALES FROM THE STRIP. No one paid much attention that album, but it's damn good. Stronger overall than WAKING THE DEAD, which of course is a very good album.
