For us Brits, the album was originally scheduled to be released on June 1st, 1967 but interest and hype was so great it was rush-released on May 26th instead so it's actually 50 years and one week old!

And yet it still does not have the track listing the band wanted, with Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane absent due to being released as a double A-side by EMI.

I'm not sure about this new Foo Fighters track, I'll have to give it a few more listens, initial thoughts are it's not as good as anything on Wasting Light or Sonic Highways.
