My fave track by Bathory has always been Holocaust from Blood Fire Death.

I used to love the gatefold sleeve to the album.



It's only slightly intense.

I remember buying Bathory's first album, and information on obscure music like this was scarce with no internet and my only information channel being Kerrang! When someone told me had had played all the instruments himself I remember being gobsmacked as this was something I had never heard of before ( apart from Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells of course ).

Venom had a big influence on my musical tastes in the early 80's, even felt today. Not the most talented band in the world but very influential along with Bathory.
