Agreed. I listened to three songs from the album on YT and they all pretty much sounded alike.

Wire - Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, 154 and Send.
I'm very fond of this lot. Got to see them twice etc. From the absolute brevity of PF to the charm and stature of 154, they of all punk bands showed that there is a world beyond "12 .. XU!!!" Ahem.
