Just stop. Leave the Labs and listen, nay buy, some Alter Bridge. Your life will be the better for it.

The song at #3 in the list Blackbird is stunning.

This is their 'Comfortably Numb' moment. Mark Tremonti's solo gives me goosebumps.

In things like this though popularity wins, always does.

I'm glad that you shared that I really liked it! I wasn't expecting something so dark after the first few minutes of the song, and at first due to him picking away at The Beatles' Blackbird I thought it was going to be a cover version.

I find it a bit strange that a magazine called Classic Rock has a readership that likes a song by The Darkness more than anything by Ozzy Osborne, Alter Bridge, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day or Queens of the Stone Age.

The Darkness are pretty much a Queen rip off band though.

You can never tell with polls done on social media nowadays. It could have been premeditated that Darkness fans voted in their numbers, a bit like the way RATM beat the X Factor winner several years ago.

It wouldn't take many fans of a single band to swing a poll such as this which would have been probably a couple of thousand people you'd think. I subscribe to the mag and never even knew about the poll until the results issue.

That 'hijack' theory makes a lot of sense.

Been listening to the Blackbird album for the last 40-45 mins and I love it, I can see this getting many listens, now I wish I wasn't sleeping in 2007 and picked this up at the time I can only think I was put off by the Creed connections...

I still haven't bought their most recent album but i'm still giving 2016's The Last Hero a lot of airplay.

In a way they seem to have a record out every year. It's probably because vocalist Myles Kennedy sings for Slash on his Slash / Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators albums and releases his own solo stuff plus guitarist Mark Tremonti has his own band - Tremonti who have made at least four records in the last ten years.

All are recommended by the way.

Someone else has done the hard work for me!

There is a song missing, and I don't know which yet, but 99 out of the 100 available on Spotify is a good job!
