Sorry to hear about the passing of Meat Loaf.

My best Meat Loaf connection was from when i was eleven or twelve and just getting into music properly. My cousin Andy's family ran the Viking Gym over in Morecambe and when we went to visited learned of my growing love for rock music and said "We have a couple of Meat Loaf records over at the gym which we never play which you can have if you want" To my delight.

However when we got to the gym the records weren't Meat Loaf but Motorhead. The Bomber and Ace of Spades records, both which were new to me, and which got me into Motorhead. So in a roundabout way i almost have Meat Loaf to thank for my love of Motorhead.

I've not listened to Dr Feelgood for years, it's a great album! Thanks Bob Rock for whipping the boys into shape when they were falling apart!

It's a classic of 80's metal. Sticky Sweet's the worst one on it though.

L.A. Guns - Don't Pray

American Hardcore (1996)

Listening to this album for the very first time recently. I was stunned with the sound as it's more like a Black Label Society album or Pantera than it is L.A. Guns. Certainly a grower though.

Fantastic debut album, not sure there are any bad songs on it?
