That's cool ^ Not heard it before.

I do find Lemmy's gruff tones give cover versions a new dimension. I was thinking the same yesterday listening to a Motorhead cover of Priest's Breaking the Law in the car. (You can hear the original on a KFC advert during every World Cup game on ITV by the way.) Motorhead give it that sort of urgency lacking in the original version.

Yes, it's something about his delivery which gives the Lemmy/Motorhead versions, such as the one above, a distinctive nature all of their own, making them very different from the original versions.

Heard the new Metallica a couple of times now. To me it sounds like Hetfield singing for Megadeth.

I got that instantly from the first riff too. I'm not sure, it's OK but it's not Metallica, but then I think those days are well gone now. I'm not in a rush to listen to it again, i'm curious to hear the next single though.

This seems appropriate today!

December 4, 1971 - 51 years ago today, Switzerland’s Montreux Casino burnt to the ground during a Frank Zappa concert
