And with all his health problems, Lemmy is still able to make a record before Lars & Co and Axel Rose

Can anyone recommend any desert rock albums that have been released in the past decade or so?

Not QOTSA mind you.

I used to have decent knowledge of the scene fifteen years ago but it's passed me by in recent times.

Apologies for the third time i've posted this.

No... But did you see the episode of the Foo Fighters documentary that focused on the Desert Sessions? That might be a starting point, but it might not be any info you don't already know.

Sorry...

No problem.

I get the feeling it may well be a dead genre since Mans Ruin went out of business.

Back to Sky Valley it is then.

it was a very 90's scene to start with! All the key players are probably in super successful rock bands these days - or playing jazz...

Maybe you could check out some of the more psychedelic doom metal from labels like Rise Above, bands like Orange Goblin and Cathedral.

Whilst the snippet sounds ok, it doesn't get me excited as it's the same mid tempo stuff they've been doing since Dance of Death.

Can't really judge anything on just 27 seconds.

No, I need to listen to it a few more times to figure who's playing the solos, so I can have a guess at what song it's from (absolute geek ha ha).

Only a couple more weeks until the single is released, if it happens because Janick said recently that there aren't any singles, so who knows
