| Shinedown's The Sound of Madness is one of my favourite albums this century. Just saying.  .................. I'm thinking of starting to go to gigs on my own. There are people i could go with but it means organizing things and making sure they could go, etc, etc, by that time the tickets have gone so it might be easier not to bother and just get one for me. Welcome back Metal Hammer. It's a decent issue. There's a nice poster book with it too. I don't exactly deal in posters but the Maiden and Ghost ones are quite nice. Rik likes this. |

This article is refreshing. It's made a big difference to the touting and I think that more artists/bands should enforce things like this. Although, there are times when you genuinely can't go to a gig any more and wish to sell on your tickets (I've done this in the past) so there would need to be some sort of system I think... GETTING THE RIGHT HANDS ON OUR TICKETS (AT THE RIGHT PRICE!) In November 2010 when tickets went on sale eight months in advance for Maiden’s 10 date 2011 Summer UK arena tour, 6,294 tickets appeared overnight on three of the biggest secondary ticketing platforms (Viagogo, Seatwave, Getmein) compared with just 207 tickets in 2016, all of which were listed only on Viagogo. With secondary ticketing much more developed now, the difference is probably much greater.
