Never listened to any of their music, but I think its pretty cool that my youngest son started school this week in the same class as My Dying Bride guitarist Hamish Glencross' daughter

I have friends in Tod, and play 5 -a side there, every time i go over there it makes me wonder why all the great doom bands come from the Calder Valley. Then i just look around and have my answer. Massive hills, thundery skies, huge grey buildings all creating a very foreboding atmosphere.

Thats just the sunny days.

Some great bands have come from that area, the two already mentioned plus Evile, New Model Army, Keith Emerson, Terrorvision and er' Kimberley Walsh.

Aren't The Cult from your area also?
