I 'saved' the YouTube video to be honest as it was on their channel all through Sunday.

Such a shame. I don't want a download, I want a physical collectors Blu ray in my hands.

It makes it a pointless release to me.

When the likes of Within Temptation, Doro, Epica and Nightwish release brilliant three disc live album / dvd's, for the same price as the Maiden digibook, in my opinion the live album as it used to be is dead in the water.

That recent Delain one is £16.99 in HMV and it's 2CDs a DVD and a BD in a nice fancy box. Then the Maiden one is 2 CDs in a fancy box for £20 and if you want the concert film it's another £9 for a download.

Maiden are one of the few bands where I would never have considered them ripping their fans off

Do they still do an 'open house meet-and-signing session' after their concerts, or have they stopped doing that?

I never said they ripped the fans off.

A double cd in a nice digi book is worth £20, after all a bog standard cd is a tenner.

It's just that in comparison to the bands mentioned earlier this Book of Souls Live Chapter pales in comparison and seems disappointing to the level that it was a must buy until i found out there was no dvd and now it's no longer of interest.

I wasn't suggesting you did

Maiden have always been 'the people's band' - making sure concert ticket prices are kept down, doing all they can to stop the ticket touts making a profit, paying their support bands when most headline acts had a 'pay-to-play' policy for opening bands and spending hours after their shows meeting the fans and signing anything and everything that was put in front of them

Highway to the Christmas number one! Online campaign backs AC/DC to take down The X Factor | The Daily Star

"Rock fans have started an online campaign to get AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell' to the top of the Christmas charts – and they're already 3/1 to take the coveted number one spot.

Fans of the hugely successful rock band started the Facebook page 'AC/DC For Christmas No.1' last Thursday in order to propel their heroes to the top of the charts in honour of their 40th anniversary.

The page's bio reads: "In November AC/DC are 40! They've NEVER had a UK Top 10 single, so let's get 'Highway to Hell' to Christmas No.1'.

The page is also littered with posts telling supporters not to buy the single until the 15th of December, and that they need 500,000 sales of the single to reach the top of the charts."

Typical bad journalism from the Daily Star, that page has been going for years!
