It is not really me that is saying that.

Those 3 bands (especially late 70's for Judas Priest-Killing Machine) were in the charts and if they were in the top 100 (charts) then they would be filed under (Pop)ular music.

I think that’s being far too literal. Being in the chart doesn’t make you pop music and neither does being popular. It’s a whole genre of music in of itself and metal regardless of its chart status is not pop.

Exactly. Pantera had a number one album Stateside, #3 in the UK. If Far Beyond Driven is pop music then i'm giving up.
