According to Metal Hammer, some songs have a" Marilyn Manson stomp" to them , one or two others make you think of Laibach, mixed in with the usual death metal sound.

They are playing at Bloodstock festival aren't they? I should be there :)

I love my metal but I'm more into alternative metal/heavy rock rather than death metal. One of my all time favourites are Porcupine Tree who I've seen live and met them all too. Got their live DVD signed by the whole band. Amazing day that was.
Loving Liquid Tension Experiment and Alter Bridge a lot at the moment too.

Along with Grunge, Rock and Indie, Metal was a staple genre for me growing up.

The amount of different bands I must have seen would probably be approaching (if not in) triple figures.

I tend not to listen to much music now that could really be defined as 'metal'; Metallica is probably as 'metal' as I get. ;)

I'm more into Industrial music and it's electronic cousins; EBM, Synthpop, Electro, Darkwave, with some Drum N Bass for added flavour.

That's the one! There are some amazing bands playing, such as: Exodus, Angelwitch, Morbid Angel, Lawnmower Deth, etc, etc.

Anything Steven Wilson touches tends to be quality.

AB3 is one of the best rock albums of the last year, and an excellent live band to boot.:)
