KISS to release 40th anniversary limited-edition box set of solo albums | Planet Rock

"KISS are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their founding members’ solo albums by releasing a limited-edition vinyl box set this October.

On 18th September 1978, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss all released a self-titled solo album on the same day and all four records went on to sell more than 1million copies Stateside alone.

To mark four decades since their release, all four albums will be released as an ultra-limited-edition box set entitled ‘The Solo Albums - 40th Anniversary Collection’ on Friday 19th October.

Limited to just 2,500 copies globally, the box set boasts all four albums on 180-gram heavyweight coloured vinyl that matches its respective cover art; ‘Gene Simmons’ appears in red vinyl, ‘Paul Stanley’ sports purple vinyl, ‘Ace Frehley’ contains blue vinyl, and ‘Peter Criss’ is in green vinyl.

All four albums are housed together in a deluxe black-matte slipcase that features glossy black images of the four artists' faces surrounding a silver-foil print of the infamous KISS logo.

On top of this there are four 12-by-12-inch posters of each album cover, plus an exclusive turntable slipmat that shows all four of artist Eraldo Carugati's iconic, painted album-cover face images all connected together.

The bundle exclusive to KISS’s official website – and limited to 300 copies - also includes a limited-edition t-shirt, coaster and pin sets."

KISS officially announce farewell End of the Road World Tour | Planet Rock

""This is gonna be our last tour. It will be the most explosive, biggest show we've ever done. People who love us, come see us. If you've never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show."

...it “will be a three year long tour starting in January 2019.”"

I remember the last time KISS played a farewell tour in 2000/2001. They were back out on the road in 2003!

Sadly Paul's voice has gone. People have been saying it for a while now and i didn't want to believe it but that video from America's Got Talent proves it.

Nice that a show such as this would have Kiss in the grand final. It's better than the generic Rn'b shite we'd have to put up with.

Wow two dates on a full UK tour. They shouldn't have bothered.

And in June as well. This could seriously impact on Download. Not that it bothers me.
